One Event, Multiple Perspectives, One of them Complete Crap (UPDATED)
Wonkettes's correspondent from that Kerry fundraiser with all the B-listers last night tries to be, what's that word that's totally overused nowadays?, oh yeah, snarky in his report, but fails miserably, due to his geeky enthusiasm for the Democratic ticket. Gawker's correspondent does a much better job, making fun of the social scene without fawning over what boons to the ticket Edwards and Kerry's wives will be. Michele however, has the real story: how a bunch of vulgar diatribes by Hollywood types at a major fundraiser will play outside of the liberal bubble. Answer: not well.
UPDATE:This is fun. Now Drudge is on the case, and now Instapundit's talking about the content of the fund-raiser which Kerry went to instead of receiving his terrorism briefing. Does Kerry even want to win? Is he even trying? Or is he really this stupid? Even Howard Dean handled himself with more class when a similar thing happened at one of his events.
ANOTHER UPDATE:A very good-looking blog that's new to me, The Galvin Opinion, which is run by a hispanic conservative Republican in NYC, has an excellent, link-rich post on this event, with some choice words on John Leguizamo's racism towards Hispanic Republicans.
